NAT02 Archetypes: Unlocking Mysteries of Planet, Sign, House

9 Class Meetings
Prerequisites: Can take with V. Calculations; must have completed I. Examining the Chart's Structure
Price: $420 early registration discount may apply; scroll to bottom

Course Description:

"Dr. Jung's revolutionary work with mythology, psychic development, and subsequently his archetypes, is on a small tributary to this expanding pool of transformation..."

This course, originated by the founder and President of OCA,Corp., Ena Stanley, is rich with insight. It gives the student a structure for complete astrological comprehension.

Syllabus:

Class Meeting 1: Introduction to Archetypes

This week introduces the concept of Archetypes and the important distinction between archetypes and stereotypes is addressed and clarified. The journey through these 12 Archetypes involves a dispelling of muddled half-truths and confusions brought about through the all-pervasive, superficial sun-sign column. The three/four rhythm will be considered in the light of last semester's insights regarding Elements and Modalities. Understanding the archetypes as Cosmic Principles, expressed in human beings as basic need structures, as opposed to modes of behavior, is stressed. The student's homework involves using words to describe these Principles and telling stories and creating pictures that evoke the truth and integrity of the Archetypes. Correcting and molding concepts here is challenging, yet rewarding, for both student and teacher.
