An in-depth overview of the Hellenistic concept of sect, and how it changes the interpretation of basic chart placements depending on whether a person was born during the day or at night.
A lecture on the four primary philosophical positions held by astrologers in the ancient world, focusing on the issue of the mechanism underlying astrology as well as the degree to which things are viewed as predetermined. This talk will also involve a discussion about how these positions are still relevant to astrologers today.
A brief overview of Hellenistic astrology, touching upon the history, philosophy and techniques of the tradition with a technical focus on specific techniques from the Hellenistic tradition that should provide to be new and useful to modern astrologers, such as whole sign houses, sect, sign rulership, etc.
