NAT-7 Chart Synthesis

10 Class Meetings
Prerequisites: Must have completed NAT-1 through NAT-6

Course Description:

This final semester in the Natal Studies Module focuses on helping students perfect their knowledge of the techniques learned throughout these classes. The last weeks are devoted to integration of the material learned so far in preparation for the important semester final.

During this semester, students will practice their skills in delineating natal charts. Some weeks will focus on modern delineation, other weeks will focus on classical delineation. Mystery Charts are used in the homework so the student's can discover their biases when looking at a chart. Self-evaluation is a part of each week's homework after the mystery chart is revealed in the following class.

NAT-7 promises to be fun as well as a great learning experience.

Syllabus:

Class Meeting 1: Discussion of Classical & Modern Approaches to Delineation

Class discussion on both approaches to chart delineation. Discussion on understanding chart themes. Mystery Chart 1 given as homework.

Class Meeting 2: Mystery Chart 1

Discussion of Mystery Chart 1. Mystery Chart 2 given as homework.

Class Meeting 3: Mystery Chart 2

Discussion of Mystery Chart 2. Mystery Chart 3 given as homework.

Class Meeting 4: Mystery Chart 2 - Classical Astrology Perspective

Discuss homework and questions from students. Identify and discuss classical concepts of the same chart, that can be integrated into synthesis. How does the language differ? Homework: Delineate Mystery chart 2 from the classical perspective.

Class Meeting 5: Mystery Chart 3 & Issue Driven Client Questions

Discussion of Mystery Chart 3. Discussion on how to answer a client's questions about specific issues or main concerns.

Class Meeting 6: Mystery Chart 3 - Classical Astrology Perspective

Identify and discuss classical concepts of the same chart, that can be integrated into synthesis. How does the language differ?

Class Meeting 7: Mystery Chart 4

Discussion of Mystery Chart 4.

Class Meeting 8: Mystery Chart 4. Review of the class, preparation fro the exam.

Discussion of Mystery Chart 6. Final Exam Chart given. It is due 4 days after class meets. It must be turned in on-time as part of professionalism training. Grades will be docked for lateness.

Class Meeting 9: Final examination

There is no class meeting this week. Students will select the best time to dedicate to the final exam and will receive the assignment and work on delineations. The instructor and two other school representatives will read and grade the student's work.

Class Meeting 10: Discussion of the Exam Mystery Chart.

This is the final class meeting where the exam mystery chart will be discussed in class.
