The Healing Art of Astrotherapy
In this talk, I will advocate for the use of astrology as a theoretical lens in psychotherapy. I will discuss my experience doing astrologically-informed psychotherapy as a career option, in contrast to being a chart reader. I will discuss some of the commonalities in the two approaches but will present the differences through case examples. Particular concepts I’ll discuss are mirroring and the burgeoning paradigm of self-compassion as it relates to astrology. I have written an article of this same title that will be published in an upcoming issue of the ISAR Journal.
